Hi all - what should the 'reserve space for recordings' be and what does it mean? It is set at 40gb (default) at the minute. I only have a 160gb drive. In the recordings/movies list the free space showing is 42gb, how does that relate to the 40gb - does it stop recording if this number is reached or is that 'free' space left to fill.
Should the drive be set to standby. I seem to be having problems at the start of recordings (glitches) and was wondering if it was because it was taking time to spin up etc. It is a proper A/V drive, supposedly able to run 24/7 (WD AV-25) so could it be left on.
I have all my picons and epg on there also. If it is set to go into standby after 5 minutes or whatever does the box have to wait for it to kick in every time I change channel or show the info bar (to display the picon)
