I am using vu duo where usb malfunctions
If i put vix 2.0 on by nfi then do a software update will machine fail cos iom not using bootloader etc
Any ideas

As far as I know you cannot load the image on to the box using NFI and web browser.

you can use the vu utilities software to load the image in NFI format but not the bootloader so you can not use any image from v2.3 build 153 or newer without the bootloader.

I have put vic 2.0 on with nfi (usbs don work) and done a software online update and. Its working fine
Im worried that the software updates via server will crash machine if im updating but using an old image

If your using 2.0 it will not update the image further than the 2.0 image line as far as Im aware. The problem is this build line has now been discontinued and is no longer being updated or maintained.
