Harddisk issue

I have a VU+ Duo and am running Vix 2.3. From time to time the internal harddisk seems to unmount. I end up doing a power cycle to get it back. Its a bit of a pain because if the hardisk is unmounted my scheduled recordings are missed.

anyone have similiar behaviour or have any ideas ?:thumbsup:

nope not had any of these issues.

Check the settings in mount manager (Blue Button>VIX>MM)

If its mounted try doing unmount and than mount and setting it as HDD.

Also check in case the HDD is faulty?

Andy has improved coding around this so should not be an issue.

vix 2.3 is linux 3

and if yr hdd is formatted with a previous linux kernal [2.6.18] to get optimal performance its

recommended and advisable to re format it in linux 3

And as this is a simple conversion from EXT3 to EXT4 you will not loose any data.
