Hi there, I have just bought my mate his duo and setting it up and I seem to be having a problem.

I set my other mates up no problems and works great but for some reason this box is stuck on starting.

1st off I fhashed the new bootloader

Then flashed the BH beta version.

Now it goes to come on then goes back to restarting and stays like that.

So I then flashed the img again and same result, then tried the ViX-2.3.153-vuduo_usb

Same again, got the starting logo then VU DUO then stuck on restarting.

Any ideas?

Oh and wont let me FTP box either

Try using another USB stick.

Reflash the bootloader again switch off and give it a full couple of minutes then flash the image, after the image flash again give it a good couple of minutes before switching back on.
You could also try downloading the image again before flashing in case it is corrupt and try another usb stick
out of interest where was this box purchased.

Tried 2 usb sticks and 3 different images and reflashed the bootloader twice.

Bought it from Alex from my local maket, he is going to replace it on Wednesday for me, so I have no problems that way.

Just thought I would exhaust every avenue 1st.

Tried another USB and same result.

On the BH image it comes up the booting logo for a few sec then starting on the box then i get the BH restarting GUI then starting then back to the booting logo.

Did you try an old version of VIX ?

What image was on it when you got it.

Was that stable.

Doesnt sound like an authorised reseller to me - Are you sure its a genuine box, thanks to clones VU+ are implementing new security measures to make sure images dont run on clones

No its the real deal mate, the guy buys in bulk. Most ppl in the west of Scotland deal with him and I bought lots of boxes.

As I said box I bought off him at xmas and was fine.

Tried to flash with the null modem and it sticks at 60%

Box just says continuing.

Left it for 20min to be sure

The box didnt work from the intial flash.

Thats why I then updated the boot then flash and still same.

Probably best to to return it under warranty if he provides one that is.

Does not sound like an official supplier to me, I would put money on it being a clone.
All your old images will work but as soon as you add the CFE to a clone you kill it.
Connect hyperterminal and show us the log.

Boxes are not clones mate.

Update tho - He swapped over box and bought further 2 from him, and all work fine.

If they were clones they wouldnt work either.

Just been a faulty box

Has anyone actually had a clone confirmed yet?

I not heard of any yet being confirmed only the usual rumour mill.

there out there now mate, and sadly it seems a lot of people are happily passing them off as the real thing or at least trying to.

£300 I paid.

I cant rate the guy enough. His service is always top notch.

Even when it was the s10s they were originals.
