Hi folks,

I want to flash my (genuine) DM800D. A couple of questions:

1) How do I install new drivers (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?8101-DM800HD-New-Hardware-Drivers)

2) What's the best image to use? Ive seen vix 2.3 on a vu-duo and like that. Can I put that on a DM800D?

Replies gratefully received

Afraid there is no VIX for DM range.

I would recommend the dreamboxUK image by Rossi which is in the DM image section. its one of the best images I had tried when I had a DM800.

Also for the record the DBUK image has the latest drivers and bootloader integrated into the image so no need to load them again.

Ive tried to instal a couple of images now but am getting "INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION)"

The images ive been trying to instal are DreamboxUK_v2.1_DM800 and Release-dm800-3.2.0.nfi, downloaded via the DM800 Images forum section.

Ive googled this issue and see theres something about ssl83 and ssl84 and ssl84a and bootloaders. Can someone advise me what to do? Do I have to instal a bootloader first and if so which one, and where do I find it.

You need to load the latest SS84 which you can do via the webinterface.
Info and SS here

Just tried too instal "experimental-dm800_20120114.nfi" obtained via that link you advised, and using the web browser interface, and (still) getting "INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION)"

You need to install the second stage first and not the image.
The SS takes seconds to load via webinterface, then you update you image.
