If it's possible to transcribe a USB based image to nfi format why is it not possible to do the same with USB boot loader. Any ideas

1- Is that possible indeed? And if so: how?
2- Why would you want to do that? Using the USB-method is by far the most easy and fast way.

The reason is because my usb ports do not function and i need to load bootloader or i cant go any further with new images
