The 84th Annual Academy Awards ceremony will be aired live and in high definition on Sky Movies, after Sky secured exclusive broadcast rights to the movie showpiece for the eighth consecutive year.
Sky Movies presenter and film critic Alex Zane will anchor the UK's Oscars coverage on February 26, including the pre-ceremony show featuring all of the arrivals, interviews and excitement from the red carpet, which will be simulcast on Sky Movies Premiere and Sky Living.
The Academy Awards ceremony, hosted this year by Billy Crystal at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, will then be shown live exclusively on Sky Movies Premiere.
Zane will be joined in Sky's London studio by a panel of experts and celebrity guests, sharing their predictions and reactions to the winners and celebrity fashion as the event unfolds.
Crystal stepped in for his ninth stint as host of the Oscars as a replacement for Eddie Murphy, who dropped out following the high-profile resignation of producer Brett Ratner.
Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer will team up with Neptunes producer Pharrell Williams to serve as the show's music consultants.
"The Academy Awards ceremony is a moment of real significance for the entertainment community and film fans alike," said Ian Lewis, the director of Sky Movies.

The Oscars Red Carpet coverage will air from 11.30pm UK time to 1.30am on Sky Movies Premiere and Sky Living, and the awards ceremony will air on Sky Movies Premiere from 1.30am until 4am.
In the run-up to the ceremony, Sky Movies will show back-to-back Oscar-winning films in February, including Black Swan, The King's Speech, The Social Network and The Fighter.
