Im building a Windows Home Server in a couple of days to hold all my music and videos. Some where I can stream all my media to different clients around the house.

I was wondering if it is possible to use the Windows Home Server instead of using my hard drive in my Vu+ Duo. The hard drive just hums in my bedroom and drives me mad when recording things and im asleep.

If this is possible, how would I go about it and is there any performance issues that anyone has experienced with having this setup?

Thanks

Ive put recordings and timeshift on my NAS and it works great for me. All u do is go into menu/setup/system/network/network browser and do a search to find ur NAS and mount it but at the bottom u have an option to use as hdd. That will put te recording and tomeshift paths on ur NAS and away u go :D

Ahhh nice,
Ill get this set up on Friday..... hopefully. Or maybe sometime next week.
Hmmm now what to do with a 250gb Laptop drive.

I hate the fact HDD's are so expensive now :\
