Hi
Having ET5000 and latest bootloader from official Xtrend support site bootloader-20111210-et5x00.
I've just installed ViX-2.3.153-et5x00_usb.zip.
After a few clicks on menu the box crashes.
It's strange but the background picture shows always "LOADING...".
Then I installed ViX-2.3.133-et5x00_usb.zip.
The box crashed again after some time
The backgound pic shows "LOADING..." but I can access menu though.
Any ideas how to make it stable?

Post on the german board where you found that bootloader, because I do not think this is an official bootloader.

I installed your bootloader from 29.09, then I reinstall VIX 2.3 from ViX-2.3.GM-et5x00_usb.zip‎, then did online update as you suggested.
Still I see no improvement. I can access menu but sometimes box crashes and background image shows "LOADING...".
I've just uploaded a crash log: 1326144643.14
Please help.

Moved to the correct section and added prefix. Please do not post in downloads only sections.

Regards your crash please post a step by step account into what is making the receiver crash.

After the clean image install the reciever starting then LOADING...
Then nothing happens. LOADING... message does not dissaper.
I can access the menu however.
I push OK to call the bellow info panel. Then push a few buttons: like Red, Blue, etc.
Then it crashes. I can not identify any particular key combination when it happens.
More often pressing the Red button in the Info Panal I think, but not always.

Does LOADING... message on the background image should dissaper at all?

What I also noticed is a strange phrase in the VIX menu -> Image Information menu:
like "the device has problems. Please reformat and try again..."

The loading screen stay's there becuase you have no TV channels tuned in.

You will get the message if
A. you have no external storage mounted to the receiver such as a HDD or a USB stick
B. your storage is not formatted and mounted to the receiver properly.

Thanks for your answers
I have no TV channels tuned, but the thing is it crashes sooner than I push a few more buttons.
I have no external storage mounted apart from that USB stick where I flash the image from (it stays there during the box 1st reboot, right after the flashing)

So do you have any particular suggestions how to identify the root cause of the image crashes and fix it.

In spite VIX 2.3 would be my prefered image, PLi image runs more stable on my ET5000 with the same bootloader.

Upload the crash reports and we can look at them but first thing, get the image into a usable stage and than lets see if it still crashes.

Load a channelist, set up your tuners and mounts and take it from there
