transfered a avi film to hdd tested film on pc works with sound ,but when i try on vu no sound am i doing something wrong ,ftp film to vu:confused:

playback is a little hit and miss on Vu + I get best results when i convert to mpeg first. hopefully future updates will fix the problem.

Convert avi to mkv,they play all the time no problem.I`ve never gotten avi files to play in the vu,I wish I could.

Disagree :D They play in that we have a moving pic and sound, but for me anyway, there's a very unnatural jerkyness about the playback. I've got avi files that play as smooth as silk on my PS3 (through same TV) yet when I FTP them to my VUduo, they are very jeryky.

But I have read that there's numerous different types of avi files, if that's the case, maybe yours are in a different format to mine?
