Channel screen resolution

After finally uploading a bouquet (DE 1.3.3f), I find some of the channels revert to 4.5 (square) rather than the normal resolution such as 16.9. Channel 4 for example.

Is this normal, or is there a plugin that would put that right.

What have you set for 4:3 and 16:9 in A/V settings?

These are the settings at the mo.
Video output = DVI
Mode = 1080i
Refresh rate = 50Hz
Display 4:3 = Pillarbox
Display 16: 9 = Letterbox

Should I just select "Just scale" for 4:3?
And should Pillarbox be ok for 16:9?

If want to have 4:3 stretched to fill the screen select "Just scale". If you want it to display as 4:3 i.e Pillarbox, leave as its set. Your choice :)

One thing I've just remembered though, depending on what image your using setting 4:3 to Just scale still does not make it feel the screen.

What I did was to install the multiquickbutton plugin from the plugins section on this site, that gave me the option of adding "switch 4.3" to one of the coloured buttons.

Now when I single press yellow, I switch between pillarbox and just scan (using PLI)

youll find some of the programmes are made in the older format as Sic says they wont fill the screen youll get a small black border on either side
