Hi went to add bouquets to my new receiver and DreamboxEdit could not connect to it. So tried typing the IP address in to a browser and its not connecting to it either.

The router is assigning it a IP with DHCP. Also tried giving it a fixed IP that didnt work either.

Anyone any suggestions?

yeah mate tried restarting enigma and the full receiver.

Logged on to the router and it can see it but having no luck connecting to it via the browser or DreamboxEdit

set the box to DHCP and reboot both the router and the box, see if that helps, dont worry we'll get you there.

Hi mate just done what you suggested that never worked either.

Also tried changing the ethernet cable and tried another port on the router still no joy

strange very strange. is the box getting a connection to the net ?

you can test this by going to blue button > vix > image manager > yellow button. you should then be able to download various image versions from the server.

Hi mate when i get in to image manager it says 'there was a problem with this device, please reformat'.

If i go in to menu --> plugins --> yellow it connects to that download server and allows me to download from there

Anyone else able to shed some light on this please?

sorry mate i had to go out and get a new pad for my xbox lol, you may have a corrupted firmware, you could try re-flashing with the latest build downloaded from the image manager.

Larry-G
29-12-11, 20:52
you want this image

ViX-2.3.133-et9x00_usb.zip‎

now i dont have a ET but this is how to flash it as far as i know.

1. Unzip compressed file.
2. Copy the "ET9x00" folder to a USB Pen Drive.
3. Power off receiver with the mains switch on the rear.
4. Connect USB Pen Drive.
5. Power on receiver with the mains switch on the rear.
6. Press the OK Button on the front panel (behind the front flap).

Update in progress.

The receiver will reboot automatically after update . ''

me to mate the network setup on enigma is the easiest part lol

Think I am going to need to send it back for a replacement as nothing will connect to it, it can connect but wont let anything in. Got other receivers on the network and all working fine.

Have you tried telneting into the box?

Also go to plugins and see which webif is in there if openwebif, click into it and change the port to 00080 and than try to connect via browser and box IP address.

garry1312
29-12-11, 22:27
Hi mate changing the port on OpenWebif plugin has allowed me to connect to it now.

Receiving this message now 'Directory ....................... contains no "services or lamedb" file. (SGT's bouquets)

Also Dreambox Control Center is saying:

Bootmanager: not found.

Is it maybe I am using the wrong username and password?

Username: root
and I am leaving password blank

Stanman

Don't use DCC, use filezilla and putty for telneting.

Make sure in your bouquet loader you have enigma 2 selected.

garry1312
