Hi,

I have updated to the new 2.3 version and can not get the MGCam 1.35a or 1.37 to decode my channels. I have tried everything and I need some help. The caed server is up and running and there is no problem to accessing the server.

Anyone have an idea on why I can not get it to work?

I have heard there is a problem with VIX and mgcamd.
I will test it today and get back to you.

There seems to be a problem with all images running the Linux 3.1.1 kernel and MGcamd Not just ViX.

As per normal people have NFI idea what they are talking about tested mgcamd on VIX latest image for 50 minutes not one freeze.
Look at your configs before blaming an image
Post your configs here and I will tell you what is wrong with them :)

Would not be the first nor last time people have jumped on the bandwagon and blamed a Image for their problems, personally i know very little about softcams and i have no problem admitting to that.

funny you should say that as I just upgraded to 2.3 and I have the same problem with mgcamd some channels just wont open Had no issues with previous version

Configs please and the problem was NOT mgcamd not working on some channels and working on others but mgcamd not working at all; or as reported on austech mgcamd constantly freezing.
Neither of these problems exist on my setups both on the vu+duo and the et9000 using latest VIX image

Did u tried zapping at least 10 different channels?

If it's to the config, what line we need to play with?

Mate if I say it works it works; I tried zapping to 30 channels still no lock up on the new kernel; because you asked so nice look at the B line :)

From what I understand you need to change the B Line to { 06 }

Without setting B line to 06, MGcamd doesnt even work on CT/Xtrend boxes...

It makes perfect sense m8,
I guess mgcamd does not recognises VU as mips with new kernel.
Will try later :)

I have just upgraded to latest vix image and I'm having the same problem. changed b to 06 (using vu+ duo) but still freezes or opens some channels and not others. I keep on having to restart softcam to get it going again. I never had this problem on the older image. using mgcamd 1.35. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi

Can anyone please take a look at my settings. I have an ET9100 with VIX 2.3 running.

I have been advised to use Mgcamd 1.35a but I not sure how to get it working. I am currently using Cccam 2.2.1 via an Nline.

I have tried to configure Mgcamd, please see my settings below (I have taken out user pass etc):

mg_cfg (in /var/keys):

Mgcamd is working alongside Cccam according to SoftCam/CI settings. As soon as I disable Cccam and just have Mgcamd running, the picture immediately freezes. Can anyone see from my settings what the problem is? Any advice would be gratefully received!

Hi, I think I had a similar issue once, where CCCam was interfering with Mgcamd/Oscam. I got around this by changing the SERVER LISTEN PORT to 0 in Cccam.cfg

Maybe this works for you.
