choppy playback of HD channels

i have noticed that i get choppy playback of HD channels on my reciever , i am using my sky card in there .
all is fine on the same channel in SD but if i am watching in HD then it starts to get choppy every few minutes .
is there any settings or something that can prevent this .

No, I would check the leads from the LNB as had a sly card in box and HD are fine.

if it was a bad connection from lnb then surely all channels would be choppy not just HD ? ?

Nope your wrong there. Just having the skew slightly out would give you issues on say Horizontal and Vertical channels.

And HD-channels are far more sensitive for a non-optimal signal then SD.

well it doesnt happen on them all , for example the bbc and itv hd channels are fine as is sky sports and sky arts , just seems to be on sky premiere and sky atlantic.

foreign hd channels are also fine .
