View Full Version : 13 & 19e DISH SIZE
Right looking to get 13 & 19e on 1 triax dish with twin lnbs on a 78cm dish right heres my question
1/ Is a 78cm big enuff to get 13 & 19E on or should i just get a 1m one instead
2/ Should i get a Motorised Dish instead of a fixed dish with 2 single lnbs ???
Hi mate
if you only want them 2 sats , dont bother with motorised , switching is alot quicker with a twin lnb set up .. just buy the fixed one at 6 degrees and it will work a treat , i used to get good signal from an 80cm dish on both sats in north east lincs ..
hope this helps

The size of the dish depends on where you are, I'm in southyorkshire and use a raven gemini 70 with 3 lnb's but i do have a motorized dish as well.

thanx
One other thing I'd say, is get a decent quality dish... As far as I remember when looking, the triax are quite good quality. I have an 85cm gibertini dish in leicestershire, an get a lot of the sats including the fringe sats on 1w (well, I could when focussat was running, but not sure whether it is now). Other thing is the quality of the lnb. But to be honest, on those sats, I think you should be fine with that size dish even if it and the lnb was quite pants... ;)
mmcmedia ....this is from our sponsors site " http://www.*********.co.uk/LNBs-and-Switches/c43/p289/Megasat-0.1dB-Monoblock-LNB/product_info.html" .this is what you want and it makes things really simple !! there are a few variations so have a browse around
hope this helps

cheers guys i think its gonna be a triax td110 with a dual lnb holder with 2 single lnbs with a switch
FWIW, I get good reception of 1W, 9E, 13E and 19E using a fixed 90cm dish (in the South East).
