cant get mgcamd to work at all

hi there i am struggling trying to get this to work , i want to explain this without breaking any rules i have put th mg_cfg into var/keys and newcamd.list into same place The newcamd list i did have in my spiderbox and just checked it again and its ok i just dont know where i am going wrong please help the wifey is going mad:mad: she is mising her telly time also i am a new user to this box am i missing something please help

Step 1 is what I gave you already if it isnt running you need to find out why.
If it is running then we go to step 2.

Are you sure your using the coorect softcam for the vix image buddy.. ??

I also run mgcamd and all working here with vix 2.3

vix cams cable 4 shared 1.35a cam install ok no conf files in var keys

i never got 1.35a to work on 2.3 had to install 3.8

changing the box type to 06 im mg_cfg Works :-)

just wanting advice on mgcamd 1.35 just got it working tonight after about 10 secs picture goes pixalated dont if that is spelt right audio ok tried my spiderbox same config was smooth is there something i need to change in mg_cfg or load a diff cam many thanks

Yes got mgcam to work but no ECM times on vix 2.3 also when I change skins mgcam does not work cccam works fine with skin changes also got ECM times with cccam

I'm not able to get the softcam.key to work.
I have vix 2.3 on,and i've tried both with cccam e mgcamd.
The lines work but not the softcam.I've put it in var/keys like also the autoroll.key file.

What's the problem?

Probably because these files are actually in usr/keys directory.

No i think no.
The cam will serach it in var/keys and nothing happen.

When with filezilla i open the directory var/keys,it automatically became usr/keys.

Sorry but i'm new in enigma and this is a very strange situation

I understodd that var/keys is a volatle link to usr/keys but still i can't get it to work.
Put all the files in the correct location and channels are scrambled.

No it's the same,black screen.

Installed it via ipk,and put the .cfg in var/etc.
Autoroll.key and softcam.key are in var/keys but nothing happens.

Do i have to do some other stuff?
Can anyone attach his config files to make another try.

CCcam.cfg goes into ETC/ not VAR/ETC thats for E1 receivers.

Yh as pheonix says the CCcam.cfg file goes in the /etc folder. Then go to softcam manager ontge box and start the cam

Ok i reflash the image.
Installed ccam 2.2.1 put .cfg in etc/ and autoroll,constant.cw e softcam.key in var keys

Now i clear o*r*f digital,but not c*a*n*a*l sat france.

Do i need a different softcam.key or that provider can't be open with cccam?

your not going to get much help on this forum with regard to softcam keys. if you have a card you need setting up fine we will help you, otherwise there is nothing much we can do.

hi mate i do thanku very much for your answer i have spent hours try to get mgcamd working with no luck but after i used telnet and ps i have found out mgcamd not running so i have reinstalled againg and worked stright away
