So, now that Xtrend/Clarketech has acknowledged that it is a hardware problem, has anyone tried to fix it with the solution posted in the official forum?

please do not post live links on the forum.

also if you do change the crystal your self you will invalidate the warranty on the box.

I know that it will invalidate the warranty, but since CLarketech/Xtrend doesn't take their responsibility and fix this, what other options do I have?

Sorry about the link.

just recived 85MHz oscilator and then I was replaced the old 81MHz. everything works fine, no more mosaic picture on sr30000 channels. for do this, you must have professional tools like hot air station, good twizzer, solder station, flux,...
it coast 10€ for a piece, and 6€ for shipping.

Too bad you have to solve a hardware fault yourself..........

Well, that's the world upside-down: this should have been fixed under warranty in the first place. Instead ET brings a 'new' model to the market with this fix

i have made order from some polish company. they have it. if you are interested, pm for detailed information. it's not a problem to replace this oscilstor. just go to any video service in your city, and give them new osciliator. it takes only 15 minutes of work
