just powering the phone off and back on should be sufficient, or remove the battery for a few seconds.

Been a long time since I used the san fran cam, but on my sgs2, I can just use the vol up/down to scroll through the options, and choose the "reboot system now" Starts it back in to normal phone mode no problem...

Only other option I can think of, is that she's wiped the os from the phone, and will need to re-install it from the zip file (all settings etc will be lost)

in clockwork mod, try taking a backup image of the phone. Then, on the sd card, put an image you would like to use, and do the reflash from zip (or whatever the words are). This will completely wipe, so only do as a last resort. but by the sounds of it, there is nothing on there anyway?!

From what I've read there is nothing on the SD that will help. The files are stored in the phone memory. If this helps Google it here
