Really hate this guys ....
It does not work , much better in previous images without this option (when it fitted to the screen correctly )
its a pain in the arse ! Gone backwards imo with that

I really do not get how people seem to have such a huge problem with OSD ?. i mean i flashed both my uno and duo like 50 times these last 3 days and every time i re-adjusted the OSD settings on both boxes which took no more than 1 minute per box.

must be a bad flash then , i cant get anything to work ..
i never had to scan before i just use DB edit and send all my service files and bouquets to the box..it should work that way , but doesnt

Already reported this as not suitable for people that are new to the box but as I was in a bad mood that day and did something stupid and went of the deep end with my complaint I got shot down in flames :)

if you have not already then yes it is a necessity that you do upgrade the FPGA as this essentially reprograms the chip that control's your tuner card.

FTA working fine..
ccam 2.1.4 will not clear at all ( it is installed and on autostart )
Also my harmony remote will not work for this image also , oh dear

Everything works fine on 2.2 ( apart from audio button) which is annoying because i cannot watch any music channels.

HMM i cant imagine how the image would stop the harmony working as mine works fine ( harmony 650 and a 600 ) on the uno and duo with 2.3, and as far as CCcam goes again ive never had a problem with 2.2.1 or the new 2.30 which i'm using now on ViX 2.3

chrispeters

weird in it ?
Reverted to 2.2 and everythign works as it should straight away ( bar the audio button is there a fix for that )?
Like the 2.3 looks , but there are some real problems with it for me (

My harmony is a 525 , the 2.3 image just doesnt work with it at all

chrispeters

got the cam clear ( took ages ) so thats working ..
OSD still chops into the words slightley on the left side of screen ... annoying
harmony 525 remote will not work .. even more annoying

audio button works correctly ( never did on 2.2) which is great .
And the skin is FAB !

As nothing has been changed w.r.t the IR-codes, all previously workin R/C's should still be working.

Or did you change the code settings yourself (which is easily done via the menu)?

no never changed anything ..
unusual i had to plug remote into laptop , and totally learn every single button again to get my harmony to work with 2.3 !
really weird , but working now after a lot of perseverance .
My only nag is still the OSD the ratio is not perfect as it was previous , but this i can cope with no probs because the rest of the image is a beaut !

Just keep trying the OSD settings..

you will get to grips with it.. and will be well worth it..

I auctually thought that the OSD settings were absolutly fantastic..

i can get it to fit easily enough ... but i have 2 choices .
1. i can get it to stretch at the expense of 2mm of lettering on the left hand side.
2, i can make it narrow at the expense of a 1 inch gap at the right hand side .

i have it on option 1 at the moment.....
