re installing back up image

Hi
am I missing something, I downloaded the backup image USB, backed up the image took about ten minutes, then i FTP over to my Pc in its own folder , (copied and pasted it back to a clean usb with Vu/ duo folders placed in duo folder.):)
How do I re install this image, front usb does not see it , should i have done something before i downloaded the image .needless to say that is long gone, as i tried a few other images.
is all hope lost , shall i start again

Freshly format the USB stick FAT32. Create the folders /vuplus/duo/ then add the 3 usb images files and try again.

will give it a go,what i meant by clean was i'd deleted all that was on it, it was formatted to FAT32 , will reformat and try again. thanks
