Does qbox hd work without dish

I have a quetions does qbox hd receiver work without dish?
I was looking for good receiver in the internet and heard about
Qbox hd doesn't require dish to work
Is this true or lies.

well it will work, after a fashion, but cant see how you would get sat piccies,...without a dish

Sorry i'm newbie i don't undersatd much about satellite receivers
I live in kenya east africa and i have to dishes one is ku-band and the other one is c-band but unfortunately i couldn't get any signal for hotbird sat or any other satellite that's why i need receiver that doesn't need dish

S far as i know there is no sat box that can get a sat without a dish, not possiable.
