first install any other version of cccam.
in cccam 2.3.0 rename cccam.mipsel.your new file name must exactly match with your cccam file in usr/bin folder.then replace it(your file in usr/bin) with new one.then set its attribute as 755.in the end start your emu.
this method works in vu+

Actually, for ViX image, just extract the binary file to /use/softcam/ and chmod to 755. Then it will be shown in softcam manager...

As said, just extract the binary file to /use/softcams/ and chmod it to 755. Then it will show i'm softcam manager. Just as (if not more) easy as an ipk file...

yup - for me i renamed the mipsel version (took the .mipsel off the end) transferred it over alongside the other one and renamed it CCcam_2.2.1 and then chmodded it to 777 - over to the vu and and swtiched over, livened it up and then restarted the box - works fine - other receivers round the house all auto connected back to it. you can leave the old one alongside it also just in case there's any problems. Hope that helps anyone looking in.

i think this is right up to a degree! but why rename CCcam.2.3.0 to 2.2.1?
and why chmod 777?

i'd go for renaming the mipsel file to CCcam.2.3.0
copy it over to /usr/softcams.
and chmod it 755.

i should have added what to do with the file once it's been edited.

press the blue button>softcam manager.
where the existing cam is running (green check mark) stop it by pressing green button.
then blue button to stop autostart if enabled.
highlight CCcam.2.3.0 then green button to start the cam.
then blue button if you use autostart.
i didn't need a reboot.

good luck

I did install it, but there were several problems with it.. like many channels you could hear voice without picture. So i did go back to CCcam 2.1.4
