have you got picons on HDD as that will happen if you do
you need to move them to a USB stick
as when you change channel the hdd needs to spin up and get the picon before it can actually change the channel
thank you for the replies.
yes i have permanent timeshift enabled ( i use it all the time) and the picons are stored on the hdd.
i would move the picons to a usb stick if you can.

keep us informed how it goes.
I have timeshift on and picons on hdd and get no lag at all, i kept picons on hard drive, cause i have timeshift always running,
yeah it's a strange one mate, i have PTS enabled always on my Duo but i always use a USB stick for picons and EPG data. I never have a problem with the spinners my self.
I had lots spinner activity, sometimes lasting for up to a minute. No picons.
Turned off PTS and have hardly ever seen the spinner since.
i think my hard drive is on its way out.... could this be causing the spinner activity?

yes if you have a faulty HDD and the box is trying to read from it, it very well could be the root of your troubles, i have PTS enabled all the time on my Duo and rarely if ever see a spinner for just a channel change.
I also starting to get loading vix spanner, i notice if i watch channel for awhile and then change channel then does it, i have timeshift always on and also have picons on hdd, must be it deleteing the timeshift on prevouis channel causing it .
dont think picons will be effecting it as hdd is always on anyway so doesnt need time to spin up
Movie the Picons off the HDD and see if the spinner still comes on.
