View Full Version : Best format for DVD?
Hi all
I want to put a few of my DVD's onto my internal hard drive.
As the box records as .TS I would have thought that is the best format to convert my DVD's to.
However, converting a normal DVD is coming out at over 20GB (only TS conversion I can find is to HD TS)
Any suggestions please?
Thanks
The DVD player should be able to play dvd.iso images.
Thanks, didn't think of that lol
Converting one 40 min TV episode to TS produced a 15GB file which would have worked out 45GB per DVD.
Will give it a go right now.
It works reasonably well but a little jerky in places, and occasional get vertical juddering, sort of thing I've experienced with PC TV cards and bad codecs, best way I can describe the effect is if you got every other line of the TV picture and moved them 3 mm to the right.
What image are you using? I'll try out on mine tonight, Installed latest OpenPLi last night with latest drivers. I'll be interested to see if playback has improved.
Latest PLI (well yesterdays), presume all latest drivers are included and I don't manually have to install any?
It's not bad enough to make the DVD unwatchable, it's still not good though
Yes OpenPLi from yesterday onwards has latest drivers.
