CFE is basically the bios, if you start hyper terminal and connect via a null modem cable you will see the output when you first power the box on.

I am looking for a box for a m8 SF and having spoke with him funds are tight until Christmas is over.

just an update on this

i wasnt aware CFE is checked via RS232 null modem cable so at present im unable to check this as i cant find my Cable

i have one of the first solo's, and i have a beta of the new coming CFE (bootloader) and i have vix running 3.1.1 on it fine, i would say that it would just need the new soon the be released by Vu CFE, sorry i canlt give you any version number just yet, i as i have been told not to release the CFE to public yet. but rest assured a new CFE for solo and linux 3.1.1 is coming.

Come on guys New CFE is now released and this box is confirmed working on upcomming 3.1.1 so someone should want a no hassle SOLO

you dont need to worry about bricking it as i done the brick testing myself LOL
