How do you install a new bootloader. I tried to install it the same way you would install a image but my box doesn't seem to read it

Its a very quick process a a matter of seconds.

As for CCcam, just make a backup of your CFG file and can install the ccam manually once you have flashed.

if you have any autotimers, you can also put the these form etc/engima2 as well.

My box doesn't seem to pick up the new boot loader. Ive unzipped the 3 boot loader files cfe.bin, imageversion, noforce and moved them in to the et5000 folder on my usb pen pressed the up arrow but my box just carry's on loading normal

The very latest bootloader has only two files which are already in the ET5000 folder, you just need to drag and drop that to the root of the usb.

First format the USB stick FAT32 to remove any other files off the USB stick.

Disconnect ALL USB devices and power off ET5000

1. create a folder called et5000 (et is lowercase)
2. Transfer the three bootloader files into the et5000 folder, cfe.bin, imageversion and noforce.
3. Connect USB stick and power on.
4. Wait for yellow/orange LED then press UP button, then be patient.
5. Once booting and you see the splash screen on TV you can power off.
6. Delete the et5000 folder from USB stick.
7. Create a folder on USB stick call et5x00 and transfer vix2.3 flash files into that folder.
8. Connect USB to ET5000, power up, wait for yellow/orange LED and press UP button, the ET5000 will automatically reboot when finished.

DO NOT POWER OFF THE RECEIVER DURING ANY FLASHES.

This is what I did but my box still just keeps booting up normal. I will have another try later when I get home
