Panasonic has announced a bevy of new apps for its Viera connected TV range, including Fetch TV and video website Vimeo.

Fetch TV offers consumers on-demand access to a wealth of movies from major studios, as well as a range of specialist TV channels, covering everything from documentaries to concerts and kids’ programmes.

The new app means that Panasonic is the first TV maker to offer the Fetch TV application, saving you from having to install a dedicated box, and beating rival manufacturers Samsung and Sony to the punch

Meanwhile, Vimeo will give those who like the YouTube alternative a chance to watch some amazing indie videos.

Other apps added to the growing line-up include music concert service iConcerts, fitness tracking service iFit, and Social TV, a platform that allows viewers to watch TV while interacting with Facebook and Twitter.

Rather more niche however, is the inclusion of Bharat Matrimony, the number 1 Indian Matrimonial Site - a UK exclusive, no less.

On the gaming side of things the connected Panasonic Vieras also get six new titles; Black Jack Royale, ZapTap, Moggles, Cosmox, Brain Trainer and PlayJam Gaming.

These new services are available now on Panasonic’s 2011 line-up of tellies.
