That is

1. DVB-C support or even better, modular tuners.

2. A nicer front, it's pretty ugly as it is now and is a shame in my rack with my other high end gear, we need OLED and a nice front, how hard can that be?

You could always spend an extra £10 or so, and get a clone dm8000 if you want, will give you all that (although I personally wouldn't wanna give that much of my hard-earned to the chinese clones... Other option is an extra £600 :D

I don`t realy dislike the look of my Vu+ but would like the option to buy a plain black front panel. I would then be able to get my dremel out and have a go at customising the front to fit a DVD drive into the front pannel. I have taken the measurements and could make one fit but dont want it to look a mess if i ferk up.

I am looking at getting a Silverstone HTPC chassis and cut out at the back.

Found a nice chassi, this one below with optional machined cutout for VFD display.

Should be a killer looking sat box.
