SD Channels not filling TV screen?

Apologies this is a bit of noob question and I'm sure its just a setting change

I have a VU+ Solo, ViX 2.3 connected via hdmi to a Philips 47" Led tv. HD channels show fine but SD channels are not filling the screen

Any help much appreciated :-)

go into menu>setup>av and try the two settings for 16:9 and 4:3 to just scale.
