Can someone please offer some advice??

I purchased an ET5000 from sponsor it arrived on Wednesday other then install cccam I haven't made any changes to the software. when i got up this morning the box was stuck on the radio channel from where it was updating crossepg totally locked up. I turned the power off and on, on the rear of the unit, now the box shows the xtrend image when i turn it on then goes to a solid green screen with no writing on it and the Red & green LED on the front of the box is on

Any ideas??

Thanks

Andy

I would try re-flashing. Sounds like something might have gone wrong.

One other thing, where did you set your EPG storage too? In EPG settings?

thanks for the reply,

I followed the instructions in the links you posted in an attempt to re-flash, i don't get a yellow/orange LED come on at all, I've tried a couple of memory sticks and all the usb ports on the receiver I just get the solid green & red leds and then a green screen

Have you formatted the USB stick fat32?

Is the file structure correct, et5000 folder in root of USB stick, then 5 flash files inside that?

Make sure all USB items are disconnected from the receiver apart from the USB stick you are using for flashing.

NO! I feel really stupid now. I had put the files straight into the root on the USB stick and not in a folder.

I have re-flashed now and its exactly the same still going to a solid green screen

I suggest you send a PM to the sponsor.

Did you try reflashing new bootoader and then latest openpli nightly build?

I also had completely green screen when bootinh but it was problem with openpli. Its already fixed and everything works ok now.

if it was exactly the same as before than the flash did not occur, did you get the setup wizard come up?
if not not try this.

1. Unplug all USB sticks from the box
2. Unzip the ET image and put the et5000 folder on the root of the usb and have no other folders there
3. Power the box down and turn it off from the back
4. Stick the USB into the front port
5. Turn the box on and press the up button until you get the two lights and than let go

Once done should reboot into setup wizard.
