Sky+ has announced a major update to its Android and iOS apps which bring some tasty new features into the remote TV mix. And amongst these will be the introduction of Series Link to both apps.
Series Link will allow users to remote record complete series through the app across both devices onto to their Sky+HD box and is apparently being rolled out next week. A separate update will also see something new just for Android users.
Bringing the Sky+ Android app in line with its iOS counterpart, the update will refresh the current design, which will include a "bespoke app for Android tablets". This will ensure a standard across all devices and OS formats.
The Sky+ app on iOS devices has been downloaded more than 2.4 million times since launch, with the Android app having been downloaded 900,000 times - so some pretty decent figures all round.
If you haven't downloaded the app already it's definitely worth a look as it fits in very neatly with other Sky mobile products such as Sky Go, and the recently launched Sky Movies app on iPhone and iPad.
