Hi all,
A very interesting and informative but daunting forum. As my Sly HD box has died a death by loss of the majority of channels I have decided to take the plunge and become involved with FTA satellite receivers. I have decided, not yet purchased, on a CT 9200 with a motorised Technosat 97cm dish for use in southern France. To ease the pain during the transition phase and ultimate break from my provider I would like to use my sly subscription card in the new box. As I have read on a post recently is it really simple matter of inserting the card in the slot or is there more trickery involved ? My card is at the moment paired to the sly HD box. I would also appreciate any recommendations on reading matter to enlighten me on what seems to be a very interesting and I am challenging hobby.

Can someone advise why the new CT-9200 is less expensive than the 9100 as the specs seem similar ?

Thanking you in advance & looking forward to becoming more knowledgeable and active within the forum :-)

Kind regards,

Stanman

Post 2 here should help you out. http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?2758-sly-card-in-vu-duo
If you don't have movies / sports than you don't need box key.

As for the box, I would recommend the Vu+. don't forget to check out the sponsor when you come to buy.

Hi,

In the latest Revesion the Et9200,the manufacturer has announced:

-The battery can not be removed,is firmly in the Box.
-Other tuners, problems are solved with SR30000 and higher ***
-HbbTV official license
-256MB of NAND Flash (instead of 128MB)
- Improved Power Supply
- Higher quality capacitors

***This will be implemented in the next production batch

Very impressed with the quality and the manual but not in action yet as waiting for the HDD to arrive hopefully tomorrow.
