I had a funny one the other day i have a VU+ duo thats about 2 months old and in the top card slot i run a gamma card all setup and working good we had been doing some work on the house and knocked a wall out in the kitchen witch made alot of dust anyways clean all dust up off vu+ box and so on and all was working good so didnt think anymore off it then the other day found that the gamma card was not working so i updated the card and still no go. After looking more seen that the card was only being seen in the bottom slot not in top at all i ended up taking box apart and cleaning it all up but no go very very hit and miss if the slots worked or not after closer inspection i seen that the circuit board for the slots sit just above a port that is metal with like 100s of a mm between so i end up puting some insoleation tape on the bottom of the card slots circuit board and vola all good no problems at all now just throught i would share case anyone ever comes accross the same thing
