Et9x00 series will make the DM800 look like a toy ;)

Please note the ET9000 has now been replaced by the ET9200, we should have stock of these early next week. Another receiver to consider is the VU+ Duo @ £319 its a real bargain at the moment.

Dont forget this when you decide ;) http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?12662-£5-discount-off-any-satellite-receiver-we-stock-to-forum-members-only!&p=91591#post91591

@snakie

How can you write about a box that you do not have?
Or you have Ultimo?
Do not worry, the battery lasts 10 years and more.

@westkill

If you want to have a box with the latest hardware,Great Picture Quality,without Fan (But you can installing if you want),and much more like HbbTV,new Kernel,HdmiCec,Blindscan etc...
Then you take the best Twin-Tuner box on the market with very good price and that is ET9000.

Its old news, its even been said that the battery is there for clone protection and after a period of time the software no longer required the battery.

If I'm honest the Xtrend ET series devolpment has easilly over taken VU+. Xtrend are now using Linux 3.1 kernel which has much more hardware support for the likes of USB DVB-T/T2 tuners and wifi sticks. VU+ are slipping in the development stakes.
