ive dropped my HTC desire three times so far from a bench thats easily 5 foot high, no protective covers except for a screen protector ( to stop scratches on the screen ) and the only thing showing is a tiny scratch on the case cover upper right near the earphone jack port. so stick with iphone bumper cases cause the rest of us dont need them LOL

With my old HTC Touch Pro 2, I had it next to me in the bed, and it fell off the bed on to the bed frame ... That was the end of that. Big crack across the middle! Then, my desire z had a nice accident with liquid! So, with S2 I will hopefully be ok :eek:. Hopefully jcm took the crack for me on that one...

Actually, that gives me a good idea... Could get jackass or someone to do it :D Go in to the phone shops, asking them to look at real copies of the phone. Get them together side by side, and do the drop test :D :p hehe

I dropped my iPhone 4 into a bucket of paint last month, took it out cleaned it. It's still working Perfectly well.
I must say though I would consider getting a galaxy 2 as I think finally there is a phone better than the iPhone.
