TinyUmbrella

A new version of TinyUmbrella, the tool that allows you to take backups of SHSH blobs (ECID SHSH) to let you downgrade to older iOS versions has been released to include support for iOS 5.0.1.

Apple had released iOS 5.0.1 last week to fix some of the bugs that was affecting iPhone's battery life.

It may be a good idea to take a backup of SHSH blobs, even though Apple has made it difficult to downgrade to an older version of iOS 5.x using SHSH blobs in iOS 5. You can checkout this post for more details.

Even though there is still no working solution for restoring 5.x on iPhone 4S I have released a 5.01.00 so you can at least save 5.0.1 SHSH. I have added tentative support for at least saving 5.0.1 SHSHs for iPhone 4S but as of now we are unable to use them fully.

You can download the latest version of TinyUmbrealla from Semaphore's blog.
