Is there a guide? And if so, where? Looked all over the site and can only find instructions for a Vu+ Duo.

Not sure there is a guide, but it really is very simple. There are I think only four screws to undo to get the cover off, then connect your hdd via sata, and put the cover back on.

Hi there, I have just installed a I TB sata drive in to my VU Duo and have got to the stage of Initialising the drive. I don't get any message to say it is performing this or that it is now complete. Should I see something like that if it has worked? I'm using VIX 2.2 image.
Cheers, Bubs

If you can set it as a recording location in recording path, its formatted and is ready for use.

Thanx Stanman. I looked in recording paths and saw my HDD there. I tried recording and it looked to be recording. Don't know how to view what I have recorded to confirm that it worked. Is there a tutorial on recording / timeshifts etc for this image?

press your "file button" and the content of your hd will show, select the film folder, and you should see your recording

Hi Basilyoung, On my remote I have the exit button below the OK button. But on another thread I was pointed to the button to the right of the Menu button and this works, i.e I get a list of recorded files:D. One other thing I am trying to fix on my box is that I have never had BBC HD working, just get a tune filaed. I saw a long post about channels changed but didn't see where the BBC HD was mentioned. Do you know how I can find what I need to scan manuall to get this and how I can find this info myself in the future for this or other similar channels?

OK I went in to manual scan and for my 28.2E Eurobird satellite I set the 10847.00 polarity V 23000. However the highest the FEC goes to is 7/8. After that it goes to none. I tried it at 7/8 and got none in the results. Any idea?

Sorted. I needed to set the System from DVB-S to DVB-S2 and then FEc 8/9 was avaiable. I now have BBC HD working. Thank you for that link. I will go through it an dfind teh other missing chanels.

Cheers:)

Cheers. It was a lot easier to do than it looked. My HDD was already intitialised as I'd been using it in a USB caddy which had, unfortunately packed in at the same time I was trying to install Project Valerie.

No I just need to get my NAS set up and I can attack PV with vigour!
