Hi all, I have a big problem with my CT et9000. I was try to install the latest boot loader when the light is gone :( Now my CT doesn't work, when i start it on the display it appears the description ET9X00 and then Booting... but it doesn't load anything. I try to install again the boot loader but nothing to do. Any solution ?

I'm afraid this will be a return to manufacturer; if the bootloader fails the box is really dead.

You need to flash an uptodate image that uses the file structure et9x00, current public ViX image will NOT boot using that bootloader.

You're right, that indeed might be the problem.
From the start topic I understood that the bootloader upgade failed.

I think that the bootloader failed couse when i try to install a image like CT V3, the flashing time is very long and the booting time is infinite, in practice never ends to load ( yesterday night 30 min. waiting time :(((( )

Yeah, I thought so from your description. A RMA-case!

You killed your ET9000 like i did to mine earlier this year. If you fail on flashing bootloader no chance to fix it, send it back to repair.

you can check whether bootloader is dead or not using consol (RS232)
1. connect RS232 cable (box to PC)
2. open the consol programe on your PC
3. power on the box

There are no messeges on the consol screen if the bootloader of your box is dead
If the bootloader is ok, you can save your box.

can you check the this messages as follow ?

I want to know what is it on the front pannel when you power on the box. ET9x00? CT9000?
you can change name of the upgrade folder and change bootloader file in previous

- if you can see the ET9x00 on the front pannel,
1. copy previous bootloader file(ct9000) in the et9x00 folder
2. insert USB to the box
3. power on the box
----- Flashing ------
4. you can see the message ct9000 on the front pannel
5. copy previous et9000 img in the et9000 folder
6. insert USB to the box
7. power on the box
----- Flashing ------

your box can be running
try it.

I had similar problems like Grattachecca described.

You must check if the map on your usb sticks is named et9000 or et9x00?

Rename the folder et9000 to et9x00 and your receiver probably will see the new software.

Press OK to start flashing it.

If it doesn't work look for another bootloader and flash that.

After that flash another software.

It worked for me & box lives again.

Yes renaming the boot loader folder to ex9x00 works if you press the arrow down button and not ok button, worked for me anyway.

Are you sure, it has been tried by couple of staffers on the 9000 and it does not work.
