Is there a better editor than vi that can easily be installed on an ET9000? I would prefer nano or gedit.

Nano is in the plugins suppository, I can't remember the exact category it's listed under (not extensions, maybe something with pli) but it's there. Gedit is Gnome's editor so you're not going to find that anywhere.

Thanks, I took a gamble and followed some instructions someone had posted on the Internet for installing nano on a DM800 from a nas website. Fortunately it works!

I've failed to find nano among the currently listed plug-ins (5.1.019) - Can anyone point me in the right direction?

TIA,

OpenWebif finds it under settings/packages.

You should be able to install it from there, but I've never tried it that way.

Thanks, ccs, that worked with no problems. Hadn't thought of that route, and it is certainly more user friendly than using the RCU.
