Vu+UNO in standby and epg update

Hello I was wondering is it ok to leave vu+UNO on standby 24/7 also for the epg to auto update does it have to be in standby?

Yes you can leave it in Standby fine, but not deepstandby as somethings will not work.

EPG will download fine in standby, I have this on 3 boxes and they download the EPG in the early morning and stay in standby.

yeah my uno gets left on standby when ever im not using it and the epg updates fine as stanman say's.

Don't forget: in the so-called "StandBy" ALL is in fully working order. Only the video output is switched off (and LNB-power if no recording is being made).
XMLTV-import can also be set to be active when in deep standby (= actually switched off). It will wake up the box at the set time, do the import, and switch the box off when ready.
