GigaSat, part of the Giga-Group organization, is delighted to announce that Dutch uplink service provider Multi-link Holland chose world leading GigaSat FA-370 3.7m flyaway antenna systems for coverage of the non-European Formula One races. Multi-link utilized three of the GigaSat superior FA370 antenna systems.

At Moto GP in Qatar, Multi-link used a unique GigaSat dual band configuration for live, full HD coverage of the non-European races for the 2011/ 2012 Formula 1 Season. Bob Snieder, Managing Director of Multi-link stated, “For this year’s non-European Formula 1 races we needed three antennas of 3.7m in C-band to be able to transmit all High Definition signals for EBU World-Feed.”

A leading integrator of fixed, flyaway and driveaway satellite Earth stations, GigaSat provides electronic sub systems across the media and broadcast industries.

“They not only look impressive. They ARE impressive.” Bob Schneider, MD, Multi-link.

Bob Sneider continued “Also the ‘back to back’ events, where there are only three days in between, that needed to be covered. So a fly-Away solution it had to be. We had been using a 2.4 GigaSat Fly-Away for about five years also during Formula 1 so the choice for GigaSat was made. And without any regrets!“

“They not only look impressive. They ARE impressive. Easy to set up, perfect specifications and storage in the boxes for cables etc. And despite the very short time between ordering and first event, all antenna’s were produced and delivered on time by the GigaSat-team.“ Bob Schneider, MD, Multi-link

Chris Lay, Managing Director and owner of Gigasat commented, "We are delighted that Multi-link has decided to use our unique FA370 antenna system to provide coverage of this prestigious worldwide event. The FA370 is a flyaway system that packs into just five cases with a total weight of less than 400kg, making it a truly transportable system.”

GigaSat is a leading integrator of fixed, flyaway and driveaway satellite Earth stations based on a comprehensive range of 'in house' designed and manufactured antennae from 45cm to 3.7m diameter, plus electronic sub-system parts including video encoders, modulators, up converters, amplifiers and control and monitoring systems.
