Many of you (including me) have the new ET6000. I've tried a lot of images on the ET6000 and some tests.
And I've found a problem:

If you flash (install) an OpenPLi image version that is older than the "OpenPLi-20111101" on the ET6000, the remote control will not work.
In order to solve this problem, you must only flash (install) the latest OpenPLi images on the ET6000 that has been updated on Openpli.org after 2. November, 2011.

Yes I've seen.

Spec's aren't much different to current ET5000 and ET9000, but a lot more expensive

Hi,

Better wait for official statement.
Shops can write a lot.
But I see more Flash=Et9200.
Et6000=more Ram,then Et5000.

If i'm honest the prices look a bit too high.

For instance, the ET9000 was £319, the new ET9200 will need to be approx £420GBP. So bit more flash costs £100GBP??

ET5000 currently retails at £199. The ET6000 has more ram and will end retailing at approx £280GBP  Why would someone buy the ET6000 over a VU+ Uno of better specification?

I'm sure both new models are very good, but come on, the prices look a bit un-realisitc.

As Enzo has mentioned, a higher flash and ram for the hardware, and for the software, the webbrowser is pre-installed with full functions. The overall speed of 9200 and 6000 is faster than the 9000 and 5000.

Hi,

Why Dreamboxen are they so expensive?Because Enigma Development.
The development of CT / Xtrend costs also money.
CT / Xtrend is eleven months on the market.
In this time, First Boxes with:Blindscan,Hdmi-cec,Linux 3,HbbTV etc. and what's coming.
I think the price will change.

you are right about that Enzo. I assume that the Xtrend CT developers are still adjusting the prices according to the market and demands.
I don't think that there is a certain price that they have set, but we will find out soon when they release the final price

The prices of the ET9200 and ET6000 are totally unrealistic imo.

Why would anyone pay the ET6000 price when there is the VU+ Uno available and honestly, how can the ET9200 price be justified?

The slightly better spec CPU and sligtly more ram over the Duo and blindscan feature is no way worth £110GBP over the VU+ Duo. Lets be honest here, the ET9200 is just the ET9000 is with a bit more flash. So why the crazy price increase??

If I'm honest this actually make's the ET5000 price even more attractive and proves what a bargain it is!

Not quite as bad as dmm, but it's not the competitive pricing that we were used to when the box released... Hopefully xtrend will see sense, and lower the prices...
