You can change the password but username has to remain root

so only 1 user/password which is root, that would be the same for all logins FTP,telnet & web

It would be the same for FTP and telnet, not sure about the web.

You can set your own username and password for the web interface, But as stanman has so rightly said for FTP and telnet you can set password only.
