5000SD Network Issues

I got my Spiderbox 5000SD must admit the SD picture is awsome but there is only one downfall and considering i only payed £30 for it im close to using it as a paper weight

i connect it all up and plug in poweer and all seems to work fine then after a while network drops out

a few times i have managed to get it back by going into network manager and resetting ips and restarting box and it comes back but recently i have found that i need to do that alot of times till ip returns its getting annoying

im quite an experienced user so i can handle doing that but i had to lend it top my mum and she was on the phone every 5 mins and could not get DHCP to allocate an ip to it

i have noticed also the SD box is all but forgotten

nothing is released for it any more and there is no mandatory network patch for it

and solution would be a great help

yeah i know there were some patches recently released for the HD models for this but as of yet i have not seen any thing for the SD models sadly.

yeah its just a bit annoying with that issue other wise a good box for picture quality hopefully something will come out for it

try to set the ip to manual ip settings,, if you use auto.....that is.:confused:

i tried the manual settings and that just doent do anything my router dont even see the fixed IP on it only DHCP works but keeps dropping out

and i know its not my router as im a proud owner of 2 et9000s, vu duo, vu uno, openmedia, tm600 and have many other boxes before that all never giving me network problems

btw: latest patch for 5000 sd is from 29 sept 2010 ver 2.15

it looks like the latest one is from 18 dec 2010 ver 2.25 TNT Sat Astra1 FIX and Cccam fix

yeah sorry 2.25 thats the one i first put on the first one that is 2.15 then the second one which is 2.25

sorry i was too quick too in saying yes

but its the latest one im running and i made my own channel list using the chmansd

I think that's half of the problem mate, they seem to have forgotten the 5000SD in favor of it's HD brothers and sisters.
