Looks like receivers without the "Mandatory upgrade Ethernet Enhancement HD Patches" are now giving,
Connection status------Not connected.
It was earlier told that this should be an issue.

Yes, I had try to load that software and works very fast now..

I've got the patch now but how do I apply it to the spiderbox new to this and don't know what to do

You've already been answered about this - no patch is going to make this work. There are no free channels with this box any more.
