Well what do we have here? Could that be an official shot of the upcoming Motorola Droid Razr? It could indeed.

Droid-Life has snaffled the image, which shows the handset from its front, back, and, for the first time, side. And this thing looks slim.

The image is apparently from a teaser site put up by US operator Verizon.

The Droid Razr (previously known as the Spyder) was said to be mighty slim, and this confirms that. (No dimensions are available yet, but it's said to be the thinnest 4G handset to date, though the 4G part is of no use to us Brits.) From this shot it looks very similar to the Razrs of old, side-on.

What else can we glean from the picture? There's an HD video camera on the back, as well as Android's usual four buttons below the screen.

According to a previous leak, the Razr will be faster than the iPhone 4S, with a 1.2GHz processor, and double the iPhone's RAM at 1GB. The screen should be 4.3-inches, and word is we're looking at Android Gingerbread on board. Though with Ice Cream Sandwich being revealed mere hours later, expect an upgrade pretty soon, especially seeing as Google now owns Motorola. That's 'owns' literally, rather than web slang.

Exciting stuff. We'll know for sure this evening, when the Droid Razr is officially unveiled. The show kicks off at 8pm UK time, so we'll bring you the news as soon as it breaks.

Are you looking forward to the Droid Razr? Or are you waiting for Ice Cream Sandwich and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which should break around 3am UK time? Let us know
