HowTo updating bootloader:

download attached file
unzip attached file
format USB flash drive in with fat
create directory /vuplus/duo at flash drive
copy file to directoy /vuplus/duo at flash drive
shutdown VU+ STB
disconnect all USB devices
connect USB flash drive to VU+ STB
power on VU+ STB
wait for message "Please remove USB" at VFD
disconnect USB flash drive
power off VU+ STB
flash new image

Think we need to point our here that we haven't formally tested this bootloader with the ViX image and I very much doubt that you can downgrade the bootloader once flashed. Maybe await for confirmation.

In the meantime this bootloader has been tested, both with ViX and other images.
The bootloader is only needed to be able to flash images > 64Mb and no other functionality is added, so there is no hurry at all to upgrade.
Downgrading is indeed not possible.
