Well I'm still playing but so far best all round image has been Vix  , I'm now onto Power of Dreams HD image.

When I'm transferring my settings over they are showing on the box, but as soon as I try to select a channel it says 'service unavailable check tuner configuration' , but when I check my tuners they are set correctly??

I'm currently doing a service scan to see if it shows a picture after the scan.

Anyone else have this problem?

A scan made the channels work but it only has hypercam and no CCcam, so looks like another change is on the cards lol

Btw, if you do try latest pli, beaware that it requires a boot loader update that cannot be downgraded and you will no longer be able to use the current ViX Team image. You would need to wait for the next release.

not trying anymore for now bud, missus is getting sick of me playing, so busy loading Vix back on now. Think I should have just backed it up to save me reflashing it all the time lol

Will the next release of Vix need a new bootloader sic?

Yes next release of ViX will need bootloader update. A lot has changed and Xtrend released a bootloader update, but dont update bootloader until we release 2.3.

yes, you CAN downgrade bootloader, I was do it without problems. if you want to do it, after upgrade to et9x00, just copy your old bootloader to usb stick, rename folder to et9x00, power off-on, on vfd you'll see "find image", then press ok or arrow down.

I've tried several OpenPLi 2.1 images on the bootloader from 19/07/2011, I guess this should work for the new VIX 2.3 image as well, right?

That is what I did. I have installed the latest bootlader 09-29-11. Is that why I cannot install the newest ViX image 2.2.100 on my ET? As I unzipped all the files of the Vix image 2.2.100 into a folder called et9x00,
I pasted it onto the root of my USB stick. Standard procedure: I inserted my USB stick into my ET9000, turned power off turned power on, on my VFD it said found image Vix.......
I press ok, and after 6 minutes, the system would reboot several times and keeps displaying the Xtrend starting page. When is the Vix 2.2.100 image coming out for the upgraded bootloader et9x00?
I am assuming that it's a mismatch between the Vix2.2.100 and ET9x00 new bootloader. Thus I have downloaded open PLI 10-19-2011 the newest version and installed the open PLI image back onto the ET9000. I will try to isntall the previous bootloader onto my ET. Hope that this process would allow me to isntall ViX image

You wont be able to downgrade the bootloader, I've already tried. Beware though, too much messing with the bootloader could end up bricking your box.

I have tried this, but w/o success. How did you get this to work?

I'd be very interested in that too, as I've also tried that without success.

I'll say this one more time and would be very happy for someone to prove me wrong with a utube video or something.

You cant downgrade the latest bootloader, even renaming the et9000 folder to et9x00 and you cant flash ViX 2.2.1 with the latest bootloader installed, even if you rename the folder to et9x00, believe me I tried.

If someone wants to challange me on this please post a youtube video and prove it, then I'll stand corrected.

But can you install ViX 2.3 on the bootloader from 19/07, which does support ViX 2.2.1?

No you cant. You now need to use the latest bootloader 29/09/11 or 30/09/11 (cant remember the exact date right now).
