i have now been on the virmin internet service for over a year now, i am on there so called 50 ,meg service, for about a year, it was very good at first, but after about 3 months down the line, it has been a nightmare,

i keep getting it on and off, they have had there so called engineers out, who most havent a clue,

it works fine for a few days, then goes rubbish again, so i rang them up and spoke to there chief technician, and he said in my area its over utilisation in my area, now i said ok how long will it be until fixed, they said a few weeks, this was about 3-4 month ago, lol, so i keep ringing up, and they say still having probs, i then told them to shove it were the sun doesnt shine, they said u cant u r contracted, i said r u taking the p.ss, they said no, so i am fuming, they r the worst company i have ever known, i would love to go to a orginized, boxing venue for virgin staff, where they each get in the ring, i would pretend i work for them, and enjoy the boxing fight, lol, and whisper and say i am a customer of theres, lol

in regards to being contracted

well if they are not getting the service they promised then you have a reason to break contract without reprimand

speak to citizens advice borough [CAB] about this as I'm sure you can get out of contract for this reason

Hi mate

Backing up what silverfox states if you have a record of down time on your vm broadband service the yes you can get out of contract. However why not try and complain and get compensation by means of a reduction in your monthly cost, Im sure rather than lose a customer they would consider this

lol you have to be lucky enough to be in a area that there currently offering this. for example where i live there not planning to roll out bt infinity till at least 2014.
and with no other cable options i'm stuck on Victorian twisted pair copper wiring technology for my phone / internet service.

The only one they restrict is BT, even usenet is um throttled. I would not go with them as hate anything longer than 12 months.

As mentioned a few posts above go to customer retentions team speak to em an let em know how u feel. They are pretty good in retaining customers. If its a utilisation issue then they shud b able to compensate u for the downtime. Only other thing have u gt a superhub or a standalone modem?

its a standalone modem, and router, i had the superhub, but that was really rubbish, so i used the other black modem that they gave out for 50 meg connections,

they said it should be all done by the end of october, lol, they r pants, they just took some money of this months bill, but its constantly like this, they need to put more servers on there stations, instead of overloading them, by letting more people join
