Xtrend ET-5000 with bootloader 2.6.31

Hi,

To install last PLi 2.1 image i load the boatloader 2.6.31 in myxtrend receiver. If i want flash again and install the vix 2.2.100 image i could do or i have install the kernel 2.6.18?

Just flash with ViX, bootloader loader is backwards compatible.

Many thanks. A few minutes when i tried flash, the vix image was note installed. With the bootloader 2.6.31 instaled, the vix folder must have the name et5000 or et5x00?

I put the pendriver in the front usb and then press up on the front radial buttons after powering off and than on .

Hi,

At this moment i have this problem. I restarted the receiver and always appear the message " BOOTLOADER LINUX 2.6.31.UBIFS BOOTING .....". After some minutes the screen is green. I tried everything, flashing the receiver with several images, but i can´t solve this problem.

This happened after disconnecting all cables from the receiver to change the location of receiver in my room. After that always BOOTLOADER LINUX 2.6.31.UBIFS BOOTING ....."

Anyone could help me, please!!!!!!

get the latest bootloder and place it into file et5x00 [not et5000]

insert USB stick and press the oposite button to initiate flash

so i think that up arrow ley

the bootloder will reflash onto box [normally pressing down wont flash it]

once done get latest public ViX image and flash that

but this time go the normal flashing route of pressing down arrow

things should be sorted


if i got up and down wrong then sorry but its one or the other

When you tell "insert USB stick and press the oposite button to initiate flash", the oposit button is the down button or the normal up button to start the flash?

I follow your recomendations but the problem. However something was writed in flash, because now don´t appear the xtrend symbol with message "booting 2.6.31. Now appears " OPENVIX VIRTUOSO IMAGE XTREME www.xtrend-support.co.uk. Minutes after again the green screen and always the lights green and red in the receiver display.

I installed the bootloder 3.1.0 and vix 2.3.133.

Any sugestion now?

if the slash has changed to VIX then look like you flashed the vix image using down arrow instead of bootloader

I don´t find a vix image with version 204. Are in forum?
After flash bootloader with lower button i flas the image vix through normal way, up button, but all remained equal. After that i tried flash vix image with lower button and after appear the text of vix image. Despite of that the problem still, and no image are loaded.

I don´t know how i can solve this problem.

Hi again,

A few moments ago i flash again the receiver with bootloader 3.1.0 with lower buton and after flash the vix image 204 with upon button but not solve the problem. Now always appear OPENVIX VIRTUOSO IMAGE XTREME www.xtrend-support.co.uk and after green scree.

I think the receiver are not ok. They could have a serious problem in motherboard or other component.

I have a rs232 cable null modem but i don´t have any tool or software to make an error report. By ftp i tried with program DCC, but the netwaork is not ok.

After appear the text of VIX IMAGE, the screen still with green color (not black).

I would like to know how i can do anything by output rs232 and null modem cable?

Hi,

I have xtrend linked with my router by ethernet cable. However with dcc the network is not ok and because of that i can entry by telnet into the receiver. Appear "server closed" in the ip of xtrend.

In your opinion it is possible solve the problem of segmention faulty?

have you done this... put the ET5000 folder in the root of a USB stick, put the stick in any of the USB ports then hold the up arrow on the front of the receiver and the new firmware will start flashing

As rossi said ViX 2.3 is something like three years old, no longer has any feeds nor a build GIT. if you want to use a newer image you need to reflash the receiver with a USB stick it can not be done online.

FIXED with latest apolo vix image in my case I have ET4000 with three lights no booting enigma2 problem only xtrend logo on tv
with crashlog no framebuffer available I have test all ET4000 images openpli,openatv, factory original image also bootloaders but simple fixed with this apolo vix openvix-Apollo.166-et4x00_usb
